Disposal of TV's

Televisions contain many recyclable materials some of which can be harmful to people or the environment.

The best option for TV disposal is to ensure they are taken to a reputable electronic recycler for safe and responsible disposal.

The following options are available for the disposal of TV's in Auckland:

eCycle

The RCN Group (RCN) and Community Recycling Network (CRN) with funding from the Ministry for the Environment offer e-Cycle, the first everyday consumer electronics recycling solution to all New Zealanders.

Note: The Ministry for the Environment advises that more disposal options will be developed to allow safe and environmentally friendly recycling of TV's. These should be available from late 2012.
